I’d be curious why your parent’s bill wound up on your home, if there’s not something that makes you responsible, it wouldn’t take but a single phone call.
On the other hand, if it’s valid, there’s not much to do about it but pay it, although your state law may not allow them to do anything but wait until the house is sold, or if you refinance the new bank might require it to be paid.
