You should go to your state bar association website, then search the directory for the specific type of attorneys. They usually list sections. Criminal, civil and family are 3 very different types of law.
I would use a phone book and a telephone . No way would I search on a computer.
That would not be a wise way to find an attorney or law firm specializing in appeals.
I would go to Google, type the name of the state and the rest of the information. So something like: Idaho attorney appeals court family law
Then I would read through the information about the different attorneys who popped up and would go to the Bar Association webpage for that state to check them out.
I might use search to find the website of an attorney I was interested in contacting based on a referral. I’d probably use the attorney’s name.
